International Service Projects

As a humanitarian and educational organization with
volunteers in more than 140 countries, The Art of Living Foundation has
innumerable volunteer service projects spread all over the world to
different communities. Seva, or service programs range from
stress-reduction education programs for prisoners and crime victims, to
medical camps, to educating rural children in India.
Service is the natural expression of love and caring.
When
the Art of Living gets you in touch with your inner self and you begin
to feel love, compassion and gratitude aplenty, what better way could
you express yourself, than through seva to your fellow beings?

About the Ashram:
The North American Ashram is located in the beautiful
region
of la Mauricie in the province of Quebec in Canada, about two hours
northeast of Montreal. Easily accessible by car, bus or train, the
grounds provide a serene, natural environment with 250 acres of woods,
lakes, organic gardens and an orchard, providing fresh vegetables and
fruits.
A day at the ashram consists of early morning sadhana,
followed by breakfast and seva. At noon we all come together for the
reading of Yoga Vasistha and meditation. The afternoon begins with a
wonderful vegetarian meal followed again by seva and rest. In the
evening, after dinner we all come together for satsang and knowledge.
The Ashram offers a unique, inspirational environment
for natural healing and exploration of the deeper aspects of life.
